These proud Northland forestry families are the joint winners of the 2022 Forestry Family of the Year at the Northland Forestry Awards.
The Wilson family (Northpine) is a family with generations involved since the 1930’s in the industry.
They are pioneers who have worked across multiple regions, are still committed to all aspects of the wood processing industry and are proud to call Northland home.
Meanwhile the Zielinski family from Silviculture Contractors Ltd is a family who may not go back quite as far but in their decades work have entrenched themselves as a huge asset to forestry.
Comprising of two principals, the wider family also very involved.
Judges said “we were challenged to separate the top two nominations for the Forestry Family of the Year…it became the impossible task to split the two, so we congratulate the Wilson and Zielinski families both.”
