He ensures that the natural and cultural values of any whenua for whom they undertake for restoration activities, are understood, protected and respected.
As a restoration project in the Tūrangi and Taupō region, Te Waa Logging’s strong values have been interwoven into the business since 1993.
Their meticulous work ensures only targeted species are controlled, and no damage to existing native flora or fauna takes place.
Their wilding control team is proactive in their cultural obligations to respect the land they work on, engaging with hapū, iwi and landowners.
