The Government has made further changes to assist with efficient processing across the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme.
When applying for or renewing accreditation, employers no longer need to provide evidence about their staff and AEWV employees completing the Employment New Zealand learning modules with their application.
Employers will still need to confirm that staff involved in recruitment have completed them, and that new AEWV employees have been offered paid time to do the modules. Where we have concerns, we may ask for more information.
We have been working hard to make more timely decisions across the AEWV scheme. We have reduced the number of applications in progress and have been making more decisions. We decided 73% more AEWV applications, 57% more Job Check application and 25% more employer accreditation applications in October than September.
A checklist for Job Checks
A new checklist is available to help make employers' next Job Check applications easier. Employers can use our checklist to make sure they include everything required with their application. Providing everything we need helps it be processed faster. Checklists for accreditation and the Accredited Employer Work Visa are coming soon.
