Hayden Mullins has managed multiple crews, has proven leadership qualities and always maintains a high standard of work. He is the Outstanding Health & Safety Management award winner at the 2022 Hawkes Bay Forestry Awards.
Hayden is assertive but compassionate to staff and employees. He is a great winner for this award and display a passion for the industry overseeing everyone’s safety and the drive to do better.
A few good decisions, some hard work and good guidance from some good mates meant Hayden was offered the chance to be a foreman and run a crew.
He works across a selection of the business with site visits, paperwork, up skilling co-workers and helping anywhere he can. The biggest thing is looking at his own crews through another set of eyes, making changes where needed but most of all making sure everyone is safe at work!
He has seen loved ones not return home and now strives to ensure that his team goes home safe each day, taking a high level of responsibility for all on his watch.
Hayden is always going above and beyond to help out and making sure that everything is in place, checking in to make sure everything is running smoothly.
