After being informed that Immigration NZ/MBIE were unwilling to progress a request to have the Forest industry included on the RSE scheme until after the election, at MBIE’s suggestion NZFOA then applied to have “Forestry Worker” put onto the Essential Skills in Demand List.
NZFOA have just been informed the application was unsuccessful in getting “Forestry Worker” on to the ESID list as they are assessed as skill level 4 – Too low to get on the list which requires skills 1-3.
